Carlo Magnoli

Hi!

I felt in love with dogs at a very young age but it was until I was at the university that I got my first own dog. Later, with my male beauceron Saphyr, I got into dog’ sports and got completely addicted.

With him I started training and competing in Agility, but also trained shortly Obedience and herding.

When he had to stop training agility because of health issues I continued being a trainer in my old club.

In the meantime (in 2004) I got the great opportunity to be the dog trainer in charge of the rehabilitation of rescue pit bulls for the “Ex combattenti” project of ENPA at Torino’ shelter.

It was an amazing learning experience that lasted to 2008.

In 2008 I moved to the Czech Republic to live with Martina and continued training agility in our own club.

The next year my next agility dog, my Malinois Didi, entered my life.

With her we qualified to represent the Czech National Team at the Eo in all of the 4 qualifying seasons we had (2012 to 2017, missed 2015 due to my own knee surgery).

In 2012 we were also selected to be one of the “white dogs” at the AWC in Liberec.

With Didi we also made it to the Fmbb Team 5 times in a row.

4 times we got the Finals and 3 times we were in the Top 10 (2nd, 5th and 8th places).

In 2014 we won Silver Medal in Individual competition at the Fmbb in Finland.

We also competed in many International events, getting to the Finals of Gotor Cup, Amadeus Agility Worldchampionship and Moravia Open.

In 2012 we got the 2nd place in the Norwegian Open Final.

We were also Czech Individual and Team Champions for Belgians Sheepdogs, and Czech Vice-National Champions (all breeds) in Teams.

Nowadays I am competing with my malinois Fidji who is a unique challenge for the good and the bad.

With her I had already the pleasure to get to several finals at international events such as the Alpine Agility Open, Verbano Challenge and Prague Agility Party, and also win and set best times at tryouts for the Italian Awc and Eo Team.

In 2023 I was also selected to represent Italy at the FMBB Agility World Championship in Romania, winning one the qualification runs and therefore getting to the Final.

The 2024 season was a breakout one for Fidji: winning the Team World Champion title at the FMBB Agility World Championship and also two Individual runs.

She also was selected to represent Italy at both the Eo and AWC.

Being one of the only five Malinois competing at the World Championship that year.

On several occasions I have been honored to help as an assistant both the FCI (2015, 2017) and Fmbb (2018, 2019) Czech Teams.

Beside of agility I am a huge mountain lover: hiking and skiing being my favorite ways to spend my free time. I also love travelling and listening to (rock) music… and I am a compulsive course drawer.
